James Owen is the founder and creative director of Stori Cymru, a Llanelli-based video production company.

James graduated in 2021 with 1st Class Honours in BA Filmmaking. To leave a job and start a business while studying is no mean feat and the fact that demand for James’s services grew during the lockdowns caused by the pandemic makes it even more remarkable.

“I started volunteering at 21st Century Church in Llanelli 8 years ago and this was the start of my creative journey. After teaching myself photography and making several short films I realised I was a passionate storyteller. Stori Cymru is growing into an established video production company within South Wales. I want to not only provide for my family but provide opportunities for young people to work in my industry.”
