The Brief

We were asked by Lloyd & Whyte insurance company to create a series of short films for their branches in Swansea, Llanelli and St Clears and how the company is looking to serve the community.

Lloyd and Whyte are an insurance broker with 80+ years of experience in the industry and in 2021 the company decided to take the step into community broking. Community broking is a specialized form of insurance with a strong emphasis on local areas and business. Lloyd and Whyte took the decision to get into community broking feeling that this aligned with the future plans for the business. As a business Lloyd and Whyte felt that this move reflected their core values of professional, supportive, fun, ambitious and partnerships and it’s these values that helps form the vision of the company.

The Process

During our short films we also presented examples of why Lloyd and Whyte can be trusted to deliver for the community listing their long running experience in the insurance field. Lloyd & Whyte are highly rated as a company by being part of the Benefact Group who are ranked as the third largest UK corporate donor.

Lloyd & Whyte's brand story is of a business that looks to serve the community. From their page it’s clear that community and its people play a vital role in their brand story and this serves them well from both a business and cultural standpoint.

From their website it's clear how Lloyd & Whyte stand out in the community, an example of this was when the community broking branch in Swansea successfully completed the three peaks challenge in order to raise money for the faith in families and allowing the authenticity of the company to standout. This closely aligns with the values we have at Stori Cymru and using the power of authentic and genuine storytelling to empower your brand message.

We followed the same format for these films by highlighting the local landscapes and listing all of the major achievements of the company in the industry.

The Result

Lloyd and Whyte were very happy with the quality of our short films as the films for their local branches were shown on their Instagram page where the company have a very high-profile presence highlighting a range of projects, what they are currently doing.

We were also happy with the quality with numerous shots of Swansea, Llanelli and St Clears in the films and emphasising what the brand is all about by cutting to text at various points.
