The Brief

We completed a short recruitment film for Right at Home where we interviewed staff about life at the company and the job in terms of the attraction, culture, what they love, training and tips for people looking to work in the care sector.

Right at Home seek to focus on the human element to care rather than just clinical care and by providing support in this manner, this leaves people consistently feeling satisfied with the quality of care that they receive and always looking to go the extra mile to help people. The company offer a range of services and what plan suits you best.

The Process

For a recruitment film it felt crucial to highlight the major points of what the current employees find great about the company and why others would want to join them. This was a simple but effective approach as this gave people direct advice for the role and pose questions for people to consider whether this is the right area of work for people. One of the main points that we highlighted was that you have to be a specific type of person to work in the sector with a huge focus on others and the service you can provide.

We documented a range of reasons as to why people would be keen to work with Right at Home. One thing we documented was the company culture and that Right at Home have always been a welcoming environment and that people really love what they do. There is also a genuine sense of care throughout the company and the belief that they can always make a positive impact on someone’s life. We sought to highlight the core message of being all about people and loving what you do.

Another point that we felt was crucial to get across during the recruitment film was the level of training. Some companies don’t place a great deal into training new staff and helping them get up to speed however we stressed in the short film that a great amount effort goes into the training. One of the examples that we documented was how one member of staff described the training provided as the best training that she had received and there was a great deal of encouragement from those involved. High quality training was greatly emphasised during the video and how important this is in order to be successful in the role as well as the encouragement you get from others.

We also looked to speak about the culture of the company and how this is important to anyone who wants to thrive in the role. One of the staff touched on the place feeling like a “little family” where everyone is supportive of each other and really value the staff that they have.

The Result

We managed to capture a wide range of perspectives to why the staff involved love working for Right at Home and how many feel a sense of satisfaction from the work they do and they are all making a positive difference in people’s lives.

The film was effective in answering a range of questions that any potential starters may have had about the role and get more of an idea of what the company looks to provide.

The film also showed how the staff really care about what they do which added an authentic feeling to the story and culture that Right At Home look to provide for staff and people who need their care.
